FIRST NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC YOUTH MOVEMENT CONGRESS “ASABA 2011”

The League of Sacred Heart, Nigeria, will be organizing a two-day program of introducing our young ones to life of friendship with Jesus especially in Eucharistic Adoration, in songs and dances, drama, praise worship, rosary procession and quiz competitions. The event details are as follows:

Date & Time: Friday, August 26 at 5.30pm - Sunday, August 28 at 8.00am
Venue: St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cable Point, Asaba, Delta State.

Furthermore, we require your support and assistance in hosting this event for about 300 youngsters (between ages 9-18). Through your help we can help draw these young ones closer to God and enable them to learn to present themselves as a daily offering to the Lord so that they may mold their lives in the fear of God Almighty. 6th NATIONAL LEADERS WORKSHOP: “IJEBU-ODE 2010”

The Apostleship of Prayer, League of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Nigeria, will hold its 6th National Leadership Workshop from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th September, 2010 at Our Lady of Apostles Girls' Secondary School, Ijebu-Ode. The Theme of the workshop which is "An Apostle of Prayer as Christ Bearer" will feature talks to be delivered by speakers on:
SECOND TALK - "THE FAMILY AS A DOMESTIC CHURCH"
  • SPEAKER: MRS. M. O. ADUN

    • THIRD TALK - "I WILL BLESS EVERY PLACE IN WHICH THE IMAGE OF MY SACRED HEART IS EXPOSED AND HONOURED"
  • SPEAKER: REV. FR. JULIUS OLAITAN, PROJECT DIRECTOR - ST. ALBERT THE GREAT SEMINARY

    • FOURTH TALK - "CENTRALIZATION AND DECENTRALIZATION OF OUR LEADERSHIP - WHICH WAY?"
  • SPEAKER: REV. SR. AGNES AJAYI, EHJ(GLORIA DEI RENEWAL CENTRE, IKORODU, LAGOS).

    • Other activities lined up during the four-day workshop will include:
    • Holy Hour Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
    • First-Friday and First Saturday devotions.
    • Rosary Procession.
    • Holy Mass.
    • Propagation Talks.
    • Courtesy Visit to the Catholic Bishop of Ijebu-Ode.

    FOURTH NATIONAL CONGRESS: “ABUJA 2009”

    The fourth National Congress, Abuja 2009, will take place from the 8th – 11th of October, 2009 at the Papal Ground Kubwa, Abuja.
    The theme of this year’s Congress is: “Behold the Heart that Cares for You.”
    The four-day event will feature:
    • Courtesy Visit to the Archbishop of Abuja, His Excellency, Archbishop John O. Onaiyekan
      by members of the National Executive Body of the Apostleship of Prayer, Nigeria.
    • Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration
    • Holy Masses
    • Rosary Procession
    • Stations of the Cross
    • Outreach mission to Parishes in Abuja
    • Talks: These talks will include the following topics:
      • “Behold the Heart that cares for You”
      • “Go and make Disciples of all Nations”
      • “I will turn their Hearts of stone to Hearts of Flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26)
      • Marian Devotion in the Apostleship of Prayer
      • Statutes of the Apostleship of Prayer
    The famous Apostleship of Prayer Band from the Port Harcourt will feature prominently,
    and the Eucharistic Youth Movement will provide entertainment and cultural displays.
